Soil, which is the upper layer of earth in which plants grow, consists of disintegrated rock with admixture of organic remains and contains primary nutrients like Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium (NPK), secondary nutrients like Sulphur and micronutrients such as Zinc, Boron, Iron, Manganese, Molybdenum etc. These nutrients should be present in optimum quantities for good agriculture production but get depleted over the years due to use of soil for agricultural production and other factors such as leaching and over mining of nutrients etc. Soil health is directly related to human and animal health .To make soil healthy proper addition of nutrient and its management is important . The training workshop will focus on measuring and improving soil health through holistic, adaptive, and data driven soil management . Training will include classroom as well as field and laboratory exercise . In the contest of Jharkhand Soil health is very important and this training will give us a new guideline in managing soil health.
